Barley kanji or barley porridge is a wonderful aid for weight loss. It is believed to flush out toxins from the body. Drinking a few cups of barley water will suppress hunger and help those who are counting calories.
Sometimes we like a weight loss tip and try it out for a few days but give up after a week because it involves too much work. This one is easy as all we have to do is boil some barley pearls.
Wash and boil 2 teaspoons of barley in 5 cups of water.
When the barley is cooked, it will start becoming soft and expand is size.
You can drink the water and discard the barley or grind the barley and add it to the water. I prefer to add it to the water.
Once it cools, grind it well with a little barley water and then add it to the rest of the barley water.
Add a pinch of salt if interested.
Drinking this throughout the day will help suppress hunger and avoid unnecessary snacking.
You can also replace one meal per day (either breakfast or dinner) with this kanji
