This tutorial shows how you can make this DIY pop up greeting card with a Christmas tree.
You will need 2 sheets of paper / Chart paper / construction paper for this. It is preferable if they are of 2 different colors and one is slightly smaller than the other. I chose the typical Christmas colors red and green for this.
Fold the green paper (wrong side out) into half and draw a Christmas tree like shown in the picture.
Using scissors, cut on the drawn curved lines or branches. You may use craft scissors for a scalloped edge or you may simply use an ordinary scissors.
Using a ruler as guide, fold on the outline of the tree to mark the outline of the tree. Bending / scoring makes the paper weak at that spot and it makes it easier for us to manipulate the paper.
Now open the green paper and pull the cut tree towards you.
This should be easy if you have scored the edge of the tree properly.
You can cut out a few stars using scissors or paper punches. You can cover the stars with silver color paper or leave it as such and the red color will show through.
