This is a paper craft tutorial for Frog Pop up greeting card!
Making Pop up cards is an art where paper is cut or glued to make 3 dimensional shapes.
It is suitable for kids in the 3-6 age group.
2 sheets of craft paper / card stock – I have used green and red
Ruler / Scale for measuring.
Fold both sheets into half.
Cut a slit in the green sheet as shown in the picture. The slit is horizontal to the folded groove.
The length of the cut will determine the width of the frog’s mouth.
Fold the paper along the cut edge to form a triangle like shown in the picture.
Fold and press/ score the card well so the line is weak and you will be able to open it on the other side in the next step.
Now open the folded paper and pull the mouth of the frog inside like shown below.
You can see how it forms a diamond shape.
Next step is to cut the eyes which is going to be similar to how the mouth was cut.
Plot the center of the sides of this diamond and draw two lines.
Now fold the green sheet into half again like we did in the very first step.
And cut along the two lines drawn for the eyes and fold and score two triangles exactly like we did for the mouth.
Now open the green sheet again and pull the eyes inside. You may draw / paint the eyes or glue googly eyes.
Now glue the red and green sheets together making sure you don’t glue to mouth and eyes.
Pop up Greeting card frog is ready!
