This tutorial shows how you can weave a bracelet with Lark’s head knot or cow hitch knot and a Celtic button knot. This Lark’s head knot bracelet is an easy to make friendship bracelet. It is woven with a single cord and can be made in 5 minutes.
To make a bracelet for an adult, you will require 2 meters of cord.
You also have to know to make the celtic button knot which will be used as a button to close the bracelet. If you don’t know how to weave the celtic button knot, please click the given link first.
Instead of the Celtic button knot, you can also use one of the many types of bracelet clasps that are available in craft shops (especially the ones that sell friendship bracelet supplies).
Start with a Celtic button knot on one end.
Measure the circumference of the wrist and then fold the cord (yellow arrow = circumference of the wrist).
Step 1: Now make a loop so that the cord travels above both the horizontal cords.
Fold the cord so that it travels down under the two horizontal cords and pass it through the loop.
Step 2: For the next step, the cord will make a loop but this time, it will first travel under the two horizontal cords.
Then fold it and bring it above the two cords and pass through the loop as shown below.
One cow hitch knot / lark’s head knot is done.
Repeat these two steps till the bracelet reaches desired length. I am going to show this one more time.
Step 1: Make a loop and cord travels above the two horizontal cords.
Fold and bring it below the two horizontal cords and pass it through the loop.
Step 2: Make loop but pass cord below 2 horizontal cords.
Fold and bring it above the horizontal cords and pass through loop.
Cut the end and burn the end with a lighter. When it is still in melted stage, press the end gently so that it fuses with the nearby cord.
This is a small bracelet that was done with 1 meter wire.
It was made for missy’s goat.
Green one is for my missy.
